My Mother's Daughter

Hello Friends! Just thought I'd give you all a peek into my house again as I obsess over.... PILLOWS!

I was just feeling like my house needed a little change and I felt inspired by a gorgeous vintage tablecloth I found at Value Village for $5.99. I simply fell in love with the whites, blues and dark greens in my house. It just looked so classy and springy!

All of a sudden my dear mother's voice played in my mind, "Well, if you want to change something in your house, make pillow covers. Every person should know how to make these, they are so easy!" So there we go, I spent ten bucks on some fabric and used some leftovers from my collection, and now I feel like my house is new again! Thank-you Momma.

Just a bit of tulle tied around this one gave it an instant change - no sewing involved!

Felt is my new best friend, it doesn't fray, so you just cut out a picture and quickly sew it on! Isn't that the cutest little birdie?
The blue pillow cover is made with a some more of that wonderful tulle, but this time it is sewn right into the blue fabric and twisted in the middle. So much fun! There you go, how did you like your mini visit to my house? Thanks for coming!
