Fabric Is My Friend.

These are just a sample of a wonderful collection!
Last weekend I had a great time visiting my family in Lac La Biche.  Honestly, I had so much fun that I forgot to get out my camera and take some pictures!  There is something so beautiful about going back to a place that brings back so many sweet memories.

A highlight for me was being able to visit with my Grandpa Phillips- it's amazing how fast things change.  He used to love reading me stories on his knee, now it's nice to chat about the days gone by.  It does make me wish we lived closer- how nice would it be to zip down for the weekend without having to drive a day to get there.
Aren't they beautiful?  My favorite is the umbrella fabric!
These fabrics used to belong to my Great Aunt Irene.  She passed away when I was 10 years old, but her legacy lives on through my Dad's stories and my Mom's sewing.  I wonder why I love creating with fabric, but then I remember that it's in my blood!
